  1. In order to be an effective blogger, one important factor is how your information is organized. One blogger says it's important to have a set way of going about posting in your blog. It will make your blog more organized and coherent.
Another blogger gives the advice of keeping a backup of your blog somewhere. If the blog somehow gets deleted, or if the site you host your blog at should be shut down for any reason, you will have a backup.
One final tip is to read and link to other people's blogs, as well as maintaining your own. It not only educates you further, but may draw viewers of that person's blog to your blog as well.

  2. There are many ways to be an effective blogger. We've discussed a few different ways but I've also found ways to be an effective blogger. The Blog Nanny discusses tips on Habits Contributing To Highly Effective Blogging. To be an effective blogger you have to be personable, talk to your readers as if they are in the same room as you and you know them. The more personable your blog is, the more you will be successful. Make the viewers feel as if they know you. It's also important to take your time when writing a blog. It doesn't have to all be done at once. If you take your time new ideas will flow to you so your blog won't be repetitive. The idea I like the most that Blog Nanny wrote was to take a notebook with you to write down notes and ideas that come to you while you aren't doing your blog. If you write these things down you won't have to remember them later and your blog will incorporate many ideas.

  3. TO become an effective blogger you must be in touch with the people reading your blogs. You must find people that strongly agree with your blog or let people come to you because they believe that are your views on whatever topic you post are similar to blog reader. You must have the ability to listen, especially to your readers so it is helpful to hear what they have to say and grab what you can from their comments. You can build a trust by responding to their comments because when a person does that it comes off as, "oh this person went out of their way to listen to what I have to say but he/she agrees with my views. 5. The effectiveness of a blog is all about how the blogger puts their blog together. One of the main things to make your blog successful is to take your work seriously and blog consistently. By this I mean to be effective the blogger has to take the blog as if it were a child, it needs to be nurtured and taken care of not just thrown together all Willy-Nilly. A blog needs to have a posting everyday and it also needs to stay in its own genre. If you want repeat readers a blogger cannot one day blog on politics and the next on fashion unless the blog is set up to be like that. And blogger need not be afraid of links they will help interest the readers and bring them more into the conversations. Another way to be an effective blogger is to link other bloggers pages and help them out. If you help other bloggers out the ideal situation is they will then visit your blog. And dont forget that blogging is an everyday thing so you want to choose a topic that you can want to blog about everyday. If the topic bores you , then blog will become if it's not already boring to the readers. So what have we learned about effective blogging, take it seriously, blog everyday, stay in your chosen genre, link to other sites and blogs, visit others blogs, and chose something that interests you.

  7. There is a lot that we can do in order to be an effective blogger. One of the most effective points of being an effective blogger is topic of interest. If there is a topic that is common and that a lot of people would like, then definitely there will be a lot of feedback on it. For example, if someone was to blog about a movie that just recently came out, there would be many ideas about the movie that you have blogged. Some people may agree with you, some people may not, but that's what makes it interesting. The more comments that you get about a particular subject, the more interesting it is. This website, Movie Blog shows the bloggers opinions on movies and books. Some of these movies may be older, but they still have some meaning to them. Everyone is obviously going to have a different opinion than the next person, but reading someone elses opinion on a movie that you saw, might give you a different way of looking at the movie.

  8. Becoming popular as a blogger is very difficult using the internet, because there are so many other bloggers out there. However, there are some things you could do to stand out from the others. First, you would want to have something people enjoy reading. A popular topic I enjoy to look at, is DIY arts and craft things. ThreadBanger is a really popular one. There are a couple reasons why ThreadBanger may be as popular as it is, as opposed to one of it's competition blogs. The website of ThreadBanger is easy to understand, and it's visually pleasing. People like pretty things, so by adding a lot of colors and pictures, people are drawn into it. Secondly, They're also a video blog. I found out about it through iTunes when I was looking for Podcasts I could follow. Because they have those two forms of following them, it makes it easier for them to be heard about. They also have a lot of people involved in this blog. They often have guests on their show to teach different crafts that people could do. By having many people involved, it makes it look more professional and less like a personal blog. It appears as if they know more about DIY than somebody who might do everything by themselves.
Although there are many different things that someone could do to make their blog become more popular, in the end, it's definitely a toss up as to whether the blog will really be successful or not. You can never truly predict what people will like to read, and what things will catch on faster than others.

  13. With previous experience and what I have read over the weekend, on ProBlogger, I believe that an effective blogger will have to capture their audience in more than one way. Not only within the text, but maybe adding pictures and possibly sound. Sometimes, when reading, you want to create an image of what is being read by the reader. By doing this, the reader will want to continue instead of "xing" out of the window and move on to something else. In one blog post that I have read called Tips and Take Aways: Why Writers Should Blog and How To Blog Effectively , gives specific tips on what to when you want to reach out to your readers and become effective in what you are saying. One specific tip I think is one of the best is to be a consistent blogger. If you write one post, and then nothing else, how serious are people going to take you? It's natural to trust someone with more insight and a person who leaves more comments. The more consistent you are, the more effective you are. I agree with the most on this blog post than the others I have read.
This person to me seems like an effective blogger due to the fact that they caught my attention in not only the title, but what they were actually saying. I am the type of learner who is more visual, and in the first paragraph I saw that this person said that the blog should be more visual. I am not one to sit there and read something that 1. doesn't create a visual for me and 2. doesn't even have a visual for me to compare the text too.

  14. In order to be an effective blogger, a few things must be taken into consideration before hitting "Post."

We talked about a site being visually appealing; i.e. bold color, or having a logo the reader can remember. Usually a logo will help keep the site in a readers mind, and it is something the reader can recognize if it should be found on another site.

Also, is the content on the blog specific to the site, or is it a random assortment of goodies? Writing a blog is just like an essay; sometimes things need to be cited. Linking to the original page helps track where the content came from, who the original writer was and and any other information that one would want to avoid copying.

For instance, if you were doing a power point presentation on the crisis in Haiti, and you found a video clip from Youtube, you can link to the clip. Haiti Clip will take you to the clip on Youtube which holds all of the posters information.

These points aforementioned will lead one to become a successful and effective blogger.

  15. A blog is not an academic essay. No one is required to read it.

A blog is not your diary. You should want others to read it.

To be an effective blogger one must always keep the audience in mind. The aim of blogging is to share ones writing with the world, be it entertaining or informational. The issue becomes how do you make the world want to read what you are sharing.

One way to draw readers in is to pay close attention to the form of your blog. Reading on a computer is different from reading in a book. It can be difficult, and boring, to read large paragraphs on a screen. Shorter paragraphs are easier on the eyes and keep people reading.

It is important to also remember that blogging is not all about the writing, a good blog is visually stimulating as well. Bloggers should provide images, video, sound, and links to make their blogs entertaining and engaging for their readers.

And of course, don't forget to blog. As Alexandra Levit says endurance is king when it comes to effective blogging.

  16. In order to be an effective blogger one must be willing to put themselves out there on the web. After reading Dorai's Learn Log it has helped me get a better understanding of what an effective blogger consists of. In her blog she explains that "Effective Bloggers are Learners, Thinkers, Explorers and Dreamers" to which extent is incredibly true. In her blog she points out seven important aspects to which she believes are the most effective. A few of the points that she makes are: "Idea Generators", " They are explorers and discoverers", and "They share information and knowledge". These are just a few of her insights to which she believes creates an effective blogger. After all, we indeed are the ultimate decision-makers when posting a blog to which extent we can decide if we want to indeed be an effective blogger.
After viewing another site that offers insight on Habits of an effective blogger it is easy to see that "an effective blogger is patient, persistent and does not give up". By following these habits of "How to be an effective blogger" we are able to see that the general understanding of how to get better at blogging is understood to be the same across the board.

  18. To become an effective blogger, there are a few tips which are key. First, an audience must be identified. Second, you must be a great writer as well as a great reader. Greater writers make sure to use punctuation and grammar, too. A third point to becoming an effective blogger means acknowledging what your readers are posting. These are all great tips, however, there are two tips which I believe are more crucial. The two most important tips, I think, are following trends and enjoying blogging. People are always reading and checking up on trends so I think it is important to do this as a blogger, also. It maintains a connection with your audience. Trends are what is popular out there and popularity is key to effective blogging. Enjoying blogging is crucial, too. A person should always enjoy what they are doing and if you don't enjoy what you're doing then it's not going to be successful.

  19. Blogging can be a very fun hobby but for some people it is there job. They make a living off expressing their ideas, opinions, life stories ext . . . Therefor it is very important to make a good impression by becoming a highly effective blogger. When reading some of the blogs off of ProBlogger, I came across some very useful tips to go about doing this. First, organization is key. When your blog is organized it makes the follower more clued in to what is important. Too much clutter can cause confusion for you and the reader, making them want to leave your blog all together. Secondly, you should know how to "write pretty". This of course means to write well, by avoiding spelling mistakes and improper grammar. Also, participating on other blogs can help you become a better blogger. It will give you different perspectives and it might even inspire you to try new things. Lastly, I came across this tip that interested me. This particular blogger told his fellow blogger's to "Find their flow". How do you go about doing this? By changing your habits. By doing this you are pushing yourself to do something different, challenging your mind and your blog. Now it is time for you to decide if you are up for the challenge.

  20. Being an effective blogger includes being consistent, risky, flexible, dedicated, sincere, and hardworking. There will always be times that you are tired and times you don't dont have time to blog so a schedule should be set up. You don't have to be a blogging machine but you do have to continually blog for it to be successful. Also you must read, comment, and link other's peoples blog to be successful. And when a comment is posted on your blog you should be respectful and acknowledge your readers.

  21. According to Julien Smith the most important thing to being an effective blogger is to find your flow. He says that he personally needs to sit down and write a whole blog in one sitting, whereas his partner can walk away and come back with new and better ideas. I feel that one just needs to find their own flow and rhythm when writing their own blog.
